PERMIT #: M-2006-013
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: June 20, 2018
OBSERVATIONS
This was a pre -operational inspection for the Potts Pit #2 permit conducted by Eric Scott of DBMS. DRMS met
permittee representative David King at the site and toured the site with him. DRMS is currently reviewing
AM01, submitted as required by the MLRB as a corrective action. DRMS verified the presence and location of
the new permit boundary markers and collected GPS data from the permit corners. A permit boundary map
based on the GPS data collected is attached to this report. DRMS also noted that the site and surrounding
area conditions were accurate as submitted in AM01. The site identification sign and notice of amendment
applied for were visible at the entrance to the site (Photo 1).
Although the site is currently in temporary cessation status, two issues were noted during this inspection that
will need to be addressed:
1- Tamarisk trees were observed in the "corral area" near the center of the permit. These will need to be
eliminated.
2- Large erosion gullies are forming on the north center area of the permit. These features will need to
be repaired and the area stabilized to prevent them from reforming in the future.
No other issues were noted during this inspection.
Ins -P
mattion Contact Address
David King
Eastern Colorado Aggregates, R.L.L.L.P.
PO Box 580
Rye, CO 81069
