Some are double walled, others will be located <br /> within bermed or lined areas that have over 110% of the volume of the largest stored tank. Fuel <br /> tanks can be found in the center of the site on the pit floor and in the Staging Area; See Map C-1. <br /> A portable asphalt plant may be erected on the site periodically. Material crushed and stockpiled <br /> on site may be used for asphalt production. Maximum asphalt production will not exceed 2,000 <br /> tons per day. Asphalt production may occur only during the warm season months of April <br /> through October. The portable plant will not be at the site more than 6 weeks per year and cannot <br /> be on site more than 30 days at a time without special Routt County approval. Components <br /> associated with the portable asphalt plant include: <br /> - Liquid asphalt storage <br /> - Aggregate feed bins <br /> - Mixer <br /> - Conveyors <br /> - Lime silo <br /> - Truck loading equipment <br /> - Power supply and distribution <br /> No night mining activity is scheduled for the operation; however portable lighting may be used <br /> within the pit from time to time. The portable lights will only be used at the bottom of the pit for <br /> the purpose of after hour equipment maintenance and crushing activities within the permitted <br /> hours in the winter months while the days are shorter. Portable toilets will be used for <br /> employees. All mining structures on site are shown on Map C-1. The portable mining <br /> equipment such as loaders, dozers, trucks and excavators will be serviced on an as-needed basis <br /> onsite.
