Introduction
The Fetcher Vale Pit(M-2002-119) is located approximately 1 mile west of Clark, CO in Routt
County at an elevation of 7240 feet. The Fetcher Vale Pit was permitted in 2003 by combining
two existing 110 permits -the Fetcher Ranch Pit(M-83-134) and the Vale Pit(M-88-009). The
Division of Reclamation, Mining, and Safety granted the Fetcher Vale Pit a 112 construction
materials permit in 2003 for the purpose of mining gravel from property owned by John Fetcher
and Charles Vale, operated by Elam Construction. The initial permit covered an area of 25.3
acres with only about 18 acres of mining area.
This amendment will add 8.0 acres to the existing 25.3 acre permit area for a total permit area of
31.7 acres.
Fetcher Vale Pit
May 2018 i-1
