RN07
Page 9
5/30/18

26. Please provide a map made in accordance with Rule 2.10 that depicts the final location of the WCR Coreholes
and the location of any road that was cut to access the corehole sites. Please update the respective pages in
Section 2.05 of the permit to discuss the final locations of these coreholes and cite the location w here the new
map can be found.

Response: - As noted, a number of drillholes were permitted to delineate and characterize the Wolf Creek Reserve.
Most of the permitted drillholes were completed, however, there are some of the permitted drillholes which have
not yet been drilled, and there is still the possibility that some of them may be drilled in the future. Maps 24 and
29, show all mine-related disturbance, and have been reviewed and revised, as appropriate, to assure that they show
all drillholes and related disturbance. The related text has also been reviewed and revised, as appropriate for
consistency. The updated materials accompany these responses for replacement in the PAP.

Resolved

27. The Division could not locate permanent sealing/abandonment reports for the exploration coreholes for the
Western Mining District discussed on pages 2.05-17 to 17.3. Please provide abandonment reports for these
coreholes with the information required under Rule 4.07.3.

Response: - The referenced abandonment reports accompany these responses for insertion in the PAP.

Resolved

28. Please update page 2.05-11.1 to 11.2 to list the following mine openings: Compressor Building Boreholes
(1&2), WMD Stabilization Borehole, 15-Left Ventilation Shaft, 16-Left Utility Borehole, 5-Main North
Borehole, 10-East Emergency Air Borehole, 10-Right Monitoring Borehole, NMD Power Borehole.

Response: - The referenced listing has been reviewed and updated, as appropriate to include all current mine
openings. Note that the Compressor Building boreholes are included in the 6-Main North utility boreholes (7), the
WMD Stabilization Borehole is already listed as the 17-Left Cement Borehole, the 16-Left Borehole is already
listed, and the NMD Power Borehole is already listed as the Substation 11 Power -Drop Borehole. The updated
Permit text accompanies these responses for replacement in the PAP.

Resolved

29. The Division reviewed Section 2.05.3(3)(a)(b) of the permit. This Section contains an extensive list of the
surface facilities/projects at the site. Many of the surface facilities listed do not provide a clear description of
the location and simply cite that the facility/area is depicted on Map 24. The location of many of thes e
areas/structures need to be clarified so that they can be identified on Map 24 and the labels given on Map 24
need to match the names provided in the Permit text. Updating each facility description with a location within
the text of this section of the Permit would require updating many pages. The Division believes a better
alternative would be to create a new table that lists each of the facilities listed in the permit section and a
description of the location of the facility. The location description should be at a minimum the ¼ section,
township and range of the facility or project area. Once this table has been created, it should be compared
with the Map 24 series maps to ensure each facility is depicted and labeled on the map.

Response: - The permit currently addresses the applicable regulatory requirement of identifying, locating, and
describing all mine facilities through the text description and referenced map(s). As indicated, the only shortcoming
