Northwest Basin and Slopes 1
approx profile of current slope
approx 3:1 slope
cut portion
=— af+._ +_ _ ♦ \\ • . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . r. . . . . . . . . . . .
  • ti fill porfion-
scale house"
M ,
'fly J. .. .x• ...._-y. yi 1-.. .. (l •. .f d t'1'•,
This photo provides a general view of the situation here. The very steep slopes surround on 2 sides a
shallow dished basin. The slopes must be reduced to 3:1 all around the outside of the basin. It
appears that the slope reduction will extend to about the road crossing the scale but not quite to the
scale house itself. The slope reduction needs to be done with cut and fill or filling the basin as high as
the steep break in the existing slope. Either cut the top of the berm down to create the slope or haul in
material from further east on the berm to fill the bottom.
