West Panel State Expansion
Reclamation Cost Estimate
The proposed amendment has several objectives, which includes 3 core holes for coal exploration and 4
core holes for gravel exploration. The holes are all within the previously approved NOI Boundary falling
under X-2017-234-02. The Division has reviewed the application has completed a reclamation cost
estimate for the three proposed Coal Exploration core holes. However the Coal Division does not
regulate and cannot approve the gravel holes.
• Please refer the request for the four gravel holes to the Minerals Regulatory Program Grand
Junction office, and provide the Coal Division a response acknowledging that only the three coal
core hole are being requested through this amendment.
The cost estimate enclosed is based on the Divisions tasks available in CIRCES, and utilizes Unit Costs
last updated by the Division in June of 2017.
