r3HS6 <br /> May 181h, 2018 <br /> PO Box 1550 <br /> Meeker, CO 81641 <br /> Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining &Safety <br /> 1313 Sherman St. <br /> Room 215 <br /> Denver, CO 80203 <br /> Greetings: <br /> Meeker Sand & Gravel was advised on 4/19/2018 that a Technical Revision was required in order to <br /> bring our active disturbed acreage into compliance under our current approved mining plan. <br /> At this time, we would like to request a reduction in our overall mine size and current monetary bond <br /> liability. We wish to reduce our mining permit to 41.69 acres. We currently have 6.11 acres fully <br /> reclaimed and another 20 acres sloped, graded and seeded. These areas are no longer used for any <br /> mining activity and are cordoned off and posted with signage indicating they are reclaimed areas. In <br /> addition, we wish to reduce our total reclamation liability by 11 acres which will remain for heavy <br /> industrial use following completion of mining activity. This area is currently zoned by Rio Blanco County <br /> as heavy industrial. These 11 acres will account for continued use of our existing concrete batch pâ–șant, <br /> shop, office/scales and equipment parking facilities. <br /> On the enclosed site map,you will find the reclaimed areas totaling 26.11 acres. At this time, we wish to <br /> reduce the permitted mine area by this 37.11 acres. We also wish to reduce our total reclamation bond <br /> liability to $76,584.53. <br /> By reducing our mine size by these acreages, we will bring our mine site into compliance under the <br /> current mining plan.
