EXHIBIT L WORST CASE RECLAMATION SCENARIO
Mining at the King Pit will mine an additional 313 (disturbed area) acres of land. Given the
length of time it will take to mine this entire site (>80 years), the operator will phase the mining
plan. The current bond is $216,866.00.
Due to the type of mining, dozer push-down, no backfilling is necessary to create 3H:1 V
reclamation slopes. Therefore, bond calculations are based on placement of topsoil for a
projected 60 acres of disturbed land at the time of final reclamation.
In addition to the bond posted as of May 2017, the following reclamation tasks will be required.
• Mobilization of equipment<45 miles= $6,000.00.
• Topsoil and replacement topsoil (waste fines) surfacing = 60 acres at 6 inches deep=
48,407 CY at $1.50/CY= $72,610.50.
• Rangeland revegetation and mulching of the 60 acres disturbed area. $820/acre rangeland
seed mix + $500/acre mulch= $79,200.00.
Table L-1 Expansion Reclamation Task and Cost Estimate
Activity Description Time(Months) Cost($)
Mobilization<45 mile 1 6,000.00
Place Topsoil 1 72,610.50
Revegetation of disturbed, areas,,.
