2. Reclamation Timetable
Reclamation will take place concurrent with mining with an additional estimated 4 months of
reclamation commencing after mining is completed. Mining is projected to be completed>100
years in the future. Therefore, final reclamation and bond release is expected to be completed
after 2118. Exhibit L: Reclamation Costs describes the worst case bond scenario.
3. Revegetation Plan
For each area of reclamation, soil will be disked to loosen surficial soils. Due to the mild grade,
seed can be drilled in both regions and broadcast seeding will be utilized where reclaimed
perimeter slopes do not allow drilling. The seed mix listed below will be used to revegetate the
site with dry rangeland mix on all surfaces. Prior to rangeland seeding, GMO oats will be sowed
into applied topsoil and allowed to grow and mat across the reclamation area. Oats readily fix
nitrogen into the soil and surface growth will provide cover for later broadcast seeded rangeland
species seedlings. GMO oats will grow for a single season and resultant expired growth will
further contribute to soil health during crimping. Certified weed free mulch will be crimped into
the surface at 2000 lbs. per acre. Fertilizer may be added as determined by a soil test at the time
of seeding. Heavy furrows will be left in the tilled topsoil to provide moisture concentration and
shade areas in order to promote better conditions for successful vegetation establishment.
Seeding will take place during the fall following retopsoiling of slopes. Slopes will be regraded,
backfilled, and retopsoiled as soon as they are able to be reclaimed and as additional mining
phases become active.
Garrett Pit Greg I—kW and Associa1es,111.1-:
February 2018 E-4
