05.17.2018 Memo Pg.03

2016 Annual Reclamation Report:
On the ARR reporting form, Phase II acres cannot be less than Phase III acres. Phase
II acres must be at minimum 27.2 acres.

DRMS permit system shows total disturbed=129.3 ac. [155.6 total dist. – 27.2 ac.
Phase III= 128.4] There appears that there is an error of 0.9 acres. LCC need to
determine where this discrepancy is, and resolve the difference.

DRMS record show the SL2, approved 2008, approved 27.2 acres for Phase I, Phase
II, and Phase III. NECC needs to revise the ARR form to reflect the correct bond
release values.

DRMS permit system shows cumulative Phase I release of 149.3 acres. NECC is only
reporting 122.1 acres having been approved for Phase I bond release. Even though
27.2 acres were approved for phase I, II and III bond release, the Division still tracks
these acres in the permit system, even if they have bee subsequently removed from
the permit area boundary.
SL1 approved Phase I release for 122.1 acres. NECC has reported this value correctly.
