May 10, 2018 C-1981-020/Munger Canyon Mine CCW

Number of Partial Inspection this Fiscal Year: 7
Number of Complete Inspections this Fiscal Year: 4

The reclaimed portals area (Photo 5) was regraded and seeded in 2007. The surface was well roughened to
provide micro-climates. The site was stable and well vegetated. The vegetation has matured and was doing well
at controlling erosion. The regraded slope covering the portals was stable with no indications of erosion. There is
one drainage channel that is located in the middle of the p ortals area. The channel is rock lined. There were no
blockages observed or erosional concerns identified in the channel. The mine vent fan was located on the east end
of the portals area. The site was well vegetated and there were no erosional feature s.

The access road to the McClane Canyon Mine’s drill pad along Munger Creek was well vegetated and stable
(Photo 6). There were no areas of the reclaimed road that had erosional concerns. The road crossed the creek bed
several times. The creek embankments where the road had met the creek were stable and well vegetated. There
were not any erosional issues identified. The section of the access road that turned north up the hillside from
Munger Creek was well vegetated and stable. There were no concerns regarding erosion. The pad found at the
top of the access road blended well with the surrounding area. The site was well vegetated. There were no
erosional issues or concerns of instability. Portions of the access road were at one point in the creek bed. There is
no longer any evidence that these sections of the road still exist. Past runoff events have buried the road and
returned the creek to the normal natural channel. Please remove the 30’’ CMP from Munger Creek. The CMP
was located in the creek bed just upstream from the creek crossing just below the start of the haul road.

The McClane drill pad along Munger Creek was stable and well vegetated (Photo 7). The pad blends well with
the surrounding areas. No erosion from the pad was identified. Please remove the silt fence from the edge of the
drill pad.

DOCUMENTS RECEIVED: None
OTHER (SPECIFY): None
