Thanks to valued partners like you, our <br />company has steadily grown from a handful of employees working in the Grand Junction area to providing <br />services across the Western Slope and employing more than 425 employees. We are honored to have <br />helped build many of the most important projects in the communities where we live and work. <br />As of April 1, 2018, United Companies and Telluride Gravel will be adding the name of our parent company, <br />CRH, to our logo as shown above. This highlights that we are part of CRH, the largest building materials <br />business in North America and the second largest worldwide. <br />CRH was formed through the 1970 merger of two Irish public companies, Cement Limited (established in <br />1936) and Roadstone Limited (established in 1949). The new company took its name from the initials of the <br />original companies "C" and "R" adding the letter °H" representing "Holdings". Today, our parent company <br />is simply "CRH", a global, diversified building materials business and a Fortune 500 company employing <br />85,000 people at over 3,600 operating locations in 32 countries worldwide.
