EXHIBIT D
RECLAMATION PLAN
COUNTY: Morgan
OPERATOR: Castle Rock Construction Co. of Colorado, LLC
1. 4-6" of topsoil is currently present on the site and will be stripped and stockpiled.
2. The final slopes will be a maximum of 4:1 or flatter. Final slopes, both new and
existing that are disturbed, will be reclaimed, seeded and mulched utilizing the
attached seed and mulch plan that is specified on the highway project six miles
from the pit. No blanket or mulch tackifier is anticipated to be necessary.
3. The final use of the pit is rangeland.
4. No trees or shrubs will be removed from the rangeland.
5. No streams, roads or building will remain after reclamation.
6. The haul road will be returned to existing contours and to the use of rangeland
other than approximately 500 feet on the west end that is currently used as a farm
drive.
7. Temporary berms will be removed as reclamation progresses.
8. By salvaging and placing all existing topsoil as described above, the new
vegetation on the slopes will be greater than the extent of cover of the existing
vegetation on the surrounding areas.
9. The seeding will be done by the fall of 2018, probably at the same time as the
roadway project. A preparation and seeding list are attached in this Exhibit. The
site will be loosened by discing after the topsoil is replaced and prior to seeding.
10. Prior to the seeding and mulching process, the reclaimed soil will be tested to
determine the need for fertilizer. These results will be supplied to the Division
prior to actual application for approval
11. The following seeding plan and all the conditions required in that plan will be
utilized in the reclamation of the pit as necessary.
a. Seeding Application: Drill Seed 0.25"to 0.5" into the soil.
b. Mulching Application: Apply a minimum of 2 tons of certified weed free
straw per acre mechanically crimpled into the soil.
