Scott Wanstedt
Page 2
4/20/2018
Maintenance work conducted during the 1St quarter included spreading and compacting
refuse on 5a; as well as, stockpiling refuse for future spreading and compaction on Pile
5a. Four compaction tests were performed this quarter, all of the test results produced
proctor values above 90 percent. There were no indications of seepage or any indications
of slope failure. The slopes of the piles are stable and only some localized erosion has
occurred. The surface drainage facilities are properly conveying surface runoff from the
refuse bank areas.
This concludes the Division's review of the I" Quarter 20I8 Professional Certification of
the Coal Processing Waste Banks for the Deserado Mine.
