1.3 Background and Standards for Success
Information regarding dates of reclamation earthwork activities and seeding dates are provided in
other supporting documents. The following Big Sagebrush Shrubland seed mixture was implemented on
all Munger Canyon Mine reclaimed areas.
The bond release success criteria for the Phase III Release Block of the Munger Canyon Mine are
derived from vegetation cover and herbaceous production comparisons to the Sagebrush Reference Area
(established in 1980) in addition to an independent woody plant density standard. Noxious weed cover
may not count towards vegetation success criteria. Noxious weed determination is based on the current
Colorado state noxious weed list.
CEDAR CREEK ASSOCIATES, Inc. 5 Munger Canyon Mine - 2016 & 2017
Revegetation Phase III Bond Release Report
Seeds
(per Pound)
seedkV
(P Rate
% of
LiFeform
Seeds
(per Sq.
