1.2 Precipitation
Precipitation data presented on Table P1 and Charts P1 — P2 was recorded at the Colorado National
Monument weather station which is approximately 20 miles south of the mine. This weather station is the
nearest station to the site and provides a rough comparison of long-term trends in precipitation in the
region. However, the location of the weather station is considerably lower in elevation and precipitation
totals are unlikely to be similar to those at the mine. Therefore, precipitation data is presented although
they are only used for discussion of precipitation trends.
Based on the available data and current vegetation at the reclaimed areas and reference area,
precipitation totals appear to have been slightly above-average for the Munger Canyon Mine in 2016 and
approximately average in 2017. Spring precipitation in 2017, however, was approximately half of average.
CEDAR CREEK ASSOCIATES, Inc. 3 Munger Canyon Mine - 2016 & 2017
Revegetation Phase III Bond Release Report
