EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Cedar Creek Associates, Inc. (Cedar Creek) was contracted in 2017 by J. E. Stover and Associates,
Inc. on behalf of CAM Mining, LLC. to evaluate revegetated areas within the Munger Canyon Mine for Year
1 and Year 2 Phase III Bond Release. Field studies conducted on June 5th and 6th, 2016 (Year 1) and June
21St and 22nd, 2017 (Year 2) to evaluate revegetation efforts have shown that the target reclaimed plant
communities have progressed sufficiently to be considered for Phase III Bond Release (Table 1). Ground
cover of perennial plants within the reclaimed area is comparable to adjacent undisturbed native
communities and plant succession is occurring and progressing in a positive direction, indicating that plants
are self-sustaining.
Table 1 Munger - 2017
Revegetation Success Criteria Comparison - 2016 & 2017
2016
2017
Success
Phase III Bond
Success
Phase III Bond
Criteria
Release Block
Criteria
Release Block
Plant Cover
Perennial Lifeforms
35.0%
34.7%
(90% of Sagebrush Ref.
>j7.8%
> 22.2%
(% average cover)
Area Value)
_
Pass
Pass
Number of Perennial Species
5
6
with >3% Rel.
