Two areas will be actively mined, two areas in advance of the active mining <br /> area will be stripped of topsoil and overburden in preparation for mining, and two areas <br /> behind the active mining areas will be in reclamation. <br /> 18. Under Amendment No. 5, the Operator was approved to have three active pits.Amendment <br /> No. 6 proposes two active pits at any given time. The Operator shall provide the Division with a signed <br /> affidavit certifying the material to be imported is clean and inert, as defined in Rule 1.1(24). <br />
