PERMIT ##: M-2007-038
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: April 5, 2018
OBSERVATIONS
This was an acreage release/monitoring inspection conducted at the Fiscus North Pit by Eric Scott of DBMS.
Weld County has a 115.7 acre 112c permit and initially requested a release of 91.1 acres of unmined area from
the permit on March 15, 2018. After review of the initially proposed permit boundary and discussion with
Weld County, the release request was revised to 82.2 acres of unmined area, with a remaining permit area of
33.5 acres. The final area released by AR01 (86.5 acres, with 29.2 acres remaining in the active permit) was
determined by GPS survey of the current permit boundary markers, which encompass the remaining affected
area. The released permit area had not been impacted by mining activity, however there were signs of
encroachment (2 track roadway and utility line) by nearby gas and oil facilities.
The site identification sign was noted at the access point to the site area (Photo 1). The revised permit
boundary markers were observed, and GPS coordinates for the current permit area were provided by Weld
County. This site is currently under final reclamation. All product stockpiles have been removed, and the
topsoil has been replaced over the previously affected areas (Photos 2-4). Weld County representative Clay
Kimmi stated that seeding and mulching for the affected areas was scheduled to take place this spring.
The DRMS approval for AR01 will be included with this inspection report.
Inspection Contact Address
Clay Kimmi
Weld County Public Works
1111 H St.
Greeley, CO 80632
Enclosure — ARO1 approval letter
Page 2 of
