Due to the additional time needed
for CMC to respond to the adequacy review and for the DRMS to review the response, CMC submitted an
extension request to extend the review period to April 16.
In the Adequacy Review letter, you requested that CMC submit additional information to the Division for
completion of the review. Although CMC believes we have provided the necessary information for review
of the Stage 1 portion of the project, we have included additional information and explanations in the
attached letter provided by AECOM. This letter expands on the exhaustive level of field investigation and
material characterization performed, as well as the methodologies used throughout the design process.
CMC would like to further emphasize the extensive level of review by a 3rd party Technical Review Board
comprised of industry recognized experts in the field of Geotechnical Analysis & Design. If you have any
additional questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at (720) 942-3480 or Miguel Hamarat at (720)
942-3255.
Regards,
Amber Parmet
Senior Environmental Engineer
Henderson Operations
Climax Molybdenum Company
Attachments:
1.
