3. Describe the estimated topsoil depth and how topsoil will be salvaged, stockpiled and <br /> redistributed for the re-establishment of vegetation. Specify approximate topsoil <br /> redistribution depth: <br /> Based on site inspection, topsoil varies from 6"-12". The topsoil includes significant cobble <br /> and will be difficult to salvage without Including the cobble. in areas to be bulk sampled, if <br /> topsoil is present it will be bulldozed into a stockpile outside the planned bulk sample area. <br /> Some areas may not have topsoil due to pre-law mining disturbance. In the settling pond <br /> areas, topsoil will be- re-Moved frorn the ponds and placed iA StMkpile(s) prior to- re-c-larnati <br /> use. Topsoil which has been salvaged will be evenly distributed back over the disturbed <br /> area. Backfill of the test pit will either be a back haul of the oversize fmm the wash plant <br /> and/or adjacent dredge tailings. If topsoil is not available, undersize from the wash plant <br /> will be used as substitute topsoil, which will be placed in a 6"-12" cap. <br /> 4.
