Well Installation
CC&V proposes to install a monitoring well within Grassy Valley to monitor groundwater quality
downgradient of the ECOSA seep location. The well to be constructed(GVMW-25)will be drilled to
bedrock and will monitor water quality within the alluvium, downgradient of ECOSA and the identified
seep. Please note,to ensure the monitoring well produces water, the well is subject to minor location
change based on the test hole drilling results. Coordinates of the final monitoring well location will be
provided to DRMS after construction is complete.
CC&V will submit a separate technical revision addressing ECOSA seep flow management.
Schedule
Construction of the drill pad using internal resources is anticipated to begin Q3 2018. CC&V will submit
necessary notices of intent before test hole drilling commences. Drilling contractors will perform test
hole drilling and monitoring well completions. Initiation of test hole drilling is planned to begin Q3 2018.
It is anticipated that monitoring wells will be four inch polyvinyl chloride completions to facilitate the
collection of water for subsequent analysis. CC&V anticipates final completion of the monitoring well in
Q3 2018.
Financial Warranty
CC&V used Newmont hole abandonment costs to calculate the increase in reclamation warranty held
with the State of Colorado. The cost to properly abandon the monitor well is$1,896.50.
Enclosed please find check no. 200033356 in the amount of$1,006 for the technical revision fee.
