Victory Way Craig, CO 81625-2704 Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010) Permit Revision Application No. 9 (PR-9) PR-9 Five Year Permit Term Mine Plan Update. Dear Planning Director: The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 22, 2018, a permit revision application for a permit to conduct coal mining operations, Permit No. C-1981-010 by Trapper Mining, Inc., was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods as provided in the Colorado Surface Coal Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules and Regulations of the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Board for Coal Mining initiate from this date of filing. This requested PR comprises the five year permit term, 2018-2022. The revision proposes disturbing an additional 564 acres situated within the currently approved permit area during the PR9 permit term. Mining will continue in L Pit and N pit will be reopened. Reclamation will continue in Kimber, Lancaster and Ashmore pits as per the M10 series maps. The applicant is proposing additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. The surface coal mining operation is located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: Township 5 North, Range 90 West Section 5 All
