The embankment appeared to be stable. The east (photo 3) and west ditches <br />were in good condition with no obstructions. <br /> <br />Pond 2 did not contain water. The primary and emergency spillways and discharge areas (photo 4) were clear of <br />obstructions. The embankment appeared to be stable. The south and east ditches were in good condition. <br /> <br />REVEGETATION – Rule 4.15 <br />Vegetative Cover; Timing: <br /> The reclaimed section of the Pond 2 east ditch was planted last spring. Not many plants have sprouted <br />since it was planted. The erosion wattles were in place and there were no signs of soil movement. <br /> <br />SIGNS AND MARKERS – Rule 4.02: <br /> The stream buffer zone signs were in place along Meehan Draw (photo 5). <br /> <br />The permit boundary signs were in place along the NH1 Pond road, the south perimeter, equipment corridor, AA <br />Rd, 26 Rd, Z Rd and 2650 Rd. <br /> <br />Mine entrance signs were in place at all entrance locations. <br /> <br />TOPSOIL – Rule 4.06 <br />Removal 4.06.2; Substitute Materials 4.06.4(4); Storage and Protection 4.06.3; Redistribution 4.06.4: <br /> Topsoil piles 1 and 2 were in the process of being relocated north of their current location as depicted on <br />Map 2.05.4(2)(d)-2. Moving the topsoil piles allows for the subsoil to be backfilled to its final topography. Ring <br />ditches were in place around all topsoil piles (photo 6).
