Backfill Dewatering Well
Dewatering well DW12-1 was approved by the Colorado Division of Water Resources, State
Engineer's Office (CDWR #77131-F) for use at the New Horizon North Mine. This well was
approved for dewatering the excavation site as well as industrial uses related to the mining
operations, including dust suppression.
Dewatering well DW12-1 was drilled but was a dry hole and not of use as a well for dewatering
or industrial use. Therefore, the hole was plugged in August 2013 as described on the attached
forms. Included on the following pages is a copy of the CDWR Well Permit Application and
Approved Permit and applicable CDWR and DRMS Well Abandonment Reports.
