O'BRIAN
FOUNDER
July 5, 2006
Mr. Berhan Keffelew
Mined Land Reclamation Division
1313 Sherman Street, Suite 215
Denver, Colorado 80203
Re: Albert Frei and Sons, Inc.
Worthing Pit -- MLRB # M-1977-526
Dear Berhan;
7985 VANCE DRIVE, SUITE 205A
ARVADA, COLORADO 80003
303423-7297
FAX 303.423-7599
RECEIVED
JUL 0 5 20M
Division of Minerals and Geology
On behalf of my client Albert Frei and Sons, Inc. I will
respond your adequacy review letter in the order presented.
• We understand that the bond amount will increase by $264,000 to
cover the slurry wall construction. According to my records this
will make the total bond $494,300.00.
• A list of wells within 600 feet of the mining and slurry wall
area was given to the Office of the State Engineer during the
2005 amendment. Also 600 foot well spacing agreements were
provided showing that the neighbors had no problems with the
plans for mining and reclamation. The Divisions files should
contain copies of these documents.
• There are 2 well within 600 feet of the slurry wall. All the
wells are along the east side of the wall and therefor up gradi-
ent. If anything they will have higher water levels due to
mounding on this up gradient side. The well owners (Kenneth
Bromely) signed 600 foot well spacing agreements with Albert Frei
and Sons, in 2005.
If you have any questions please call me at 303--423-7297.
Sincerely,
ENVIRONMENT, INC.
Stevan L.
