HART ENVIRONMENTAL
P 0. Box 1 303 Boulder, Colorado 80306 Phone: 303 444 6602
March 15, 2018
Mr. Eric Scott
Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
Colorado Department of Natural Resources
1313 Sherman Street, Room 215
Denver, CO 80203
Re: Technical Revision (DRM&S Permit # M-2008-082) Morton Lakes
Dear Eric:
Last year, RMCC sought DRMS approval for TR-004 which allowed the
company to mine approximately seven (7) acres of Morton Stage 6 (B). Under the
TR-004 mining plan for Stage 6 (B), RMCC proposed to temporarily stockpile
sand and gravel on the pit floor prior to reclaiming this stage for developed water
storage. RMCC is now seeking DRMS approval to install an earthen berm between
Stages 6 (A) and 6 (B) in order to convert Stage 6 (B) into a temporary (5 Acre)
groundwater recharge pond to address the water levels in the A&W well (see
revised Exhibit "D" enclosed).
The final reclamation plan for Stage 6 will remain unchanged, namely
developed water storage.
Transmitted with this letter please find the following:
.1.
