CF4, GFS, GF6 and J1) in the west panel which have been installed since the
development of Table 2.7-20). Baseline conditions have been measured at each of
these sites for at least the last year. The GP series wells were drilled in 1985 to
further define the baseline conditions of the ground water in the eastern portion of
the Trapper Mine. Bentonite pellets were used to seal between the different
aquifers in the annulus of each well. Each well was air lifted to develop the well
prior to pump testing. Table 2.7-21b gives the aquifer properties. Aquifer
properties collected for both the west and east panels since the original permit
submittal are discussed for both the pre-mine and operational wells in the following
sections. Appendix V presents a discussion of the pump test analyses and the theory
used.
Twentvmile Sandstone
The Twen[ymile Sandstone is [he best aquifer in the Trapper Mine area. Three
monitoring wells, GD-1, GF-1 and GZ-1, have been completed in the Twentymile
Sandstone.
A constant head flow test conducted on well GF-1 on September 9, 1986 yielded
transmissivity and permeability values of 1500 gal/day/ft and 20 f[/day,
respectively. These values indicate a much higher transmissivity than data for well
GD-1 and probably more typical of this aquifer.
goer Unit of Williams Fork Formation
Tables 2.7-21a and 2.7-20 present the basic well data for the wells used to

2-462e
REVISED FFR 1 ~ 'R7
