The fresh-water zone extends to an unknown depth, where the ground water probably
becomes saline. However, the aquiferous units below the Twentymile Sandstone are
not greatly significant to this study because the relative high permeability of
this unit will prevent impacts from extending beyond its boundaries.
The following four sections discuss each of the hydrogeologic units which are
significant to this study. This section presents we 11 completions, aquifer
descriptions, aquifer coefficients, well capacities, and similar information for
each geologic unit. Table 2.7-20 presents the basic well data while Table 2.7-21
gives [he aquifer properties.
Twencymile Sandstone
The Twentymile Sandstone is a relatively clean (clay-free) sandstone that was
deposited in a beach and barrier bar environment. This unit has a relatively
high porosity and permeability, and it is the best aquifer in the Trapper Mine
Area.

2-4 55 a
REVISED FEB 1 3 '87
