1.0 INTRODUCTION
•
i
^
1
r.,
i•

The Cameo No. 1 and Roadside Mines are producing underground mines which
have been in operation since 1978 and 1974, respectively, under one
permit. Disturbances associated with these mines include facilities
areas, portals, overland conveyors, loadout, and a refuse disposal site.
No new disturbances are presently planned.
This vegetation inventory has been designed to generate tlata for per-
mitting existing coal mining operations as defined by the "Regulations of
the Colorado Mined Land Reclamation Division for Coal Mining" as published
in 1980 and interpreted by personnel of Colorado Mined Land Reclamation.
Powderhorn Coal representatives working with Colorado Mined Land Reclama-
tion specialists determined that the reclamation success standard for
these disturbances could be generated from three "study areas" located
adjacent to the disturbances. This report presents the quantitative data
from these "study areas" along with a vegetation map of the permit area
and adjacent sites.
-1-
