Gunnison Ave, Suite 240 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501-5711 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: North Thompson Creek Mine (Permit No. C-1981-025) <br /> Permit Renewal Application No. 7 (RN-7 ) <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 118, Paragraph 3, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 7, 2018 , an <br />application to renew an existing permit to conduct coal mining operations at the North Thompson <br />Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. All review and comment periods <br />as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate fro m this date <br />of filing. <br /> <br />MINREC, Inc. proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on <br />land located approximately 10 miles Southwest of Carbondale, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br /> <br />T8S, R89W; Portions of Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34 and 35 <br /> T9S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 <br /> T7S, R88W; Portions of Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32 <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Stony Ridge . <br /> <br />Minrec Inc has submitted an application for the renewal of the existing permit for the North <br />Thompson Creek Mines. No new disturbanc es or activity is proposed. <br />
