All review and comment periods <br />as provided in the Colorado Surface Mining Reclamation Act and the Rules initiate from this date <br />of filing. <br /> <br />MINREC, Inc. proposes to continue underground coal mining and/or reclamation operations on <br />land located approximately 10 miles Southwest of Carbondale, Colorado. The permit area is <br />further described as follows: <br /> <br />T8S, R89W; Portions of Sections 21, 22, 27, 28, 33, 34 and 35 <br /> T9S, R89W; Portions of Sections 2, 3 and 4 <br /> T7S, R88W; Portions of Sections 20, 29, 30 and 32. <br /> <br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on the following USGS 7.5 minute Quadrangle <br />map(s): Stony Ridge . <br /> <br />Minrec Inc has submitted an application for the renewal of the existing permit for the North <br />Thompson Creek Mines. No new disturbances or activity is proposed. This renewal application <br />does not propose revisions to the approved mining and reclamation plan, nor is there any proposed <br />surface disturbance outside of the currently approved disturbance area. <br />
