Mining impacts associated with the Collom <br />expansion did not occurred in 2017. <br />SPOIL SPRING DEVELOPMENT <br />A limited number of low impact spoil springs may develop occasionally, but their aerial <br />extent and low level or non-existent surface flow will have a very minor impact on <br />surface (and shallow groundwater/perched aquifer) water quality and quantity in the <br />future. Colowyo is not aware of any springs that have developed due to rain/snowmelt <br />percolating through the spoil and emerging down gradient. <br />Several active native springs have been identified on the reclaimed surface at the <br />Colowyo Mine. These springs are the result of groundwater movement from <br />Page 15 <br />
