Gunnison Ave, Suite 240 <br />Grand Junction, CO 81501-5711 <br /> <br /> <br />Re: Trapper Mine (Permit No. C-1981-010) <br /> Technical Revision No. 119 (TR-119) <br /> Update to the 2018 Mine and Reclamation Plan (2018 Stripping Line) <br /> <br /> <br />Dear Sir or Madam: <br /> <br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, <br />Article 33, Section 116, Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 2, 2018 an <br />application to revise coal mining operations at the Trapper Mine was considered complete for the <br />purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Trapper Mining, Inc.. All review and comment <br />periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br /> <br />The revision considers future highwall mining potential in L and N pits. Proposed 2018 stripping <br />includes 84.0 acres of new disturbance in L-Pit and 161.4 acres of redisturbance of Phase III <br />reclamation in N Pit for a total of 245.4 acres of disturbance. Included in the application are <br />updated maps showing: proposed new haul road, 2018 proposed topsoil removal areas, proposed <br />reclaimed areas, proposed regrade areas and proposed mining areas. The applicant is proposing <br />additional surface disturbance outside of the area currently approved for disturbance. <br /> <br />The surface coal mining operation is on land located approximately 6 miles Southwest of Craig, <br />Colorado. The permit area is further described as follows: <br /> <br />Township 5 North, Range 90 West <br /> Section 5 All <br /> Portions of Sections 6, 8 and 9 <br /> Township 5 North, Range 91 West
