General Land Office (GLO) records and survey plats were examined for Township 5
North, Range 90 West (T5NR90W), and Township 6 North, Range 90 West (T6NR90W).
The review of these records focused on the study area. All of the original surveys were
conducted in 1877 (accepted in 1878). No historic cultural manifestations appear within the
present study area.
The dependent resurvey for T5NR90W, conducted from 1911 to 1914 (accepted in
1917), shows an unnamed road entering the northwest quarter of Section 4 from the north.
