11/9/2017
Christopher J. Neumann
Attorney
Greenberg Traurig
1200 17" Street, Ste 2400
Denver, CO 80202
VIA EMAIL
RE: Bates-Hunter/Golden Gilpin clean up status
Dear Chris,
The cleanup of the Golden Gilpin millsite (outside) is virtually complete. We are currently
scheduled to have non-essential chemicals removed on the 27'h and 281 of November by AET
Environmental 11CIj3; ,'aetcnyirirnmcntal,c43m ). A complete inventory of the remaining chemicals
(non -SARA 1II, non-toxic) will be provided to you thereafter. There will be another round of
cleanup, primarily involving the interior of the building in the coming weeks. The exterior and
interior of the Bates -Hunter mine facilities is also virtually complete. We will continue to
remove non-essential items and waste as we work to prepare the facility for use.
Please see the photographs presented herein, in the corresponding numerical order and of the
same locations as included in the DRMS Inspection Report of 5-27-16. Also, we have removed
approximately 11 — 30 cubic yard containers of refuse and scrap steel. I have attached the
invoices from McDonald Farms (Imp: mcdonaklrarmsinc.com.) to support this statement. There
is currently one additional container at the site ready for removal.
Best regards,
Digitally signed by Mall Collins, P.E.
C c Matt Ca0ins, P.E. a=black Fox Mining
Matt Collins, P.E.
