The weather was clear and the temperature was in the 30’s. The ground was snow covered but was <br />metling making the roads and off-road areas muddy. Scott Wanstedtt of BME was present for the entire <br />inspection. The coal train was being loaded at the time of the inspection. Currently, no revisions are under review <br />by the Division. <br />EXPLOSIVES – Rule 4.08 <br />Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br /> The explosive storage area was clear of obstructions and no issues were noted. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; <br />Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; <br />Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> The DP-1 Pond was frozen and no discharge was noted. The embankment was snow covered and no <br />problems were noted. The emergency spillway was free and clear of obstructions. <br />Pond PP-2 was snow covered with no discharge noted (photo 1). <br />Pond RP-2/3 did not appear to contain water as it was snow covered. <br />B-Seam Dewatering ponds system 1 contained a small amount of water in each pond but was not discharging. <br />Water was not flowing between ponds. Last Chance Pond was frozen (photo 2). <br />B-Seam Dewatering ponds system 2 contained water in pond 3 but was not discharging (photo 3). <br />Pond RP-5a did not contain water. The embankments were snow covered. <br />Pond RP-1 did not contain water. Embankments were snow covered. The primary spillway was free and clear of <br />obstructions (photo 4). <br />Pond RP-4 was did not contain water. The pond embankments were snow covered. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> The backup fan construction continues.
