The mine is a reclaimed underground
mine that has had the permit revoked and all bond monies have been exhausted for remaining reclamation
activities.

The reclaimed mine is adjacent to an area that gets heavy mountain bike usage. However, trespass does not seem
to be a problem, and unauthorized access seems to be kept to a minimum. Trash deposition or other vandalism has
not been observed or noted as a problem.

The area had received 1” to 2” of fresh snow the previousl day. Very little patchy snow remains on the area. The
weather was cold with high light clouds across the valley. The wind was unusually still at the time of the
inspection.

BACKFILL and GRADING – Rule 4.14; Approximate Original Contour 4.14.2; Highwall Elimination
4.14.1(2)(f); Steep Slopes 4.14.2, 4.27; Stabilization of Rills and Gullies 4.14.6:
The outslope of the portal bench appears stable. There has been gullying about 1/3 of the way up the
slope from the bottom of the fill alongside the rock armored channel. This gully has been present for some time.
It does not appear to be enlarging or causing failure to the armored channel. All sediment coming down this
channel continues to be deposited in the sediment pond prior to runoff leaving the site.

HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05
Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, 4.05.6;
The pond still functions to deposit any sediment from runoff from the portal bench, outslope, and the
majority of the reclaimed road.
