PERMIT #: M-2012-051
INSPECTOR'S INITIALS: ECS
INSPECTION DATE: February 22, 2018
OBSERVATIONS
This was a routine monitoring inspection for the Dreher Pit, a Yuma County 112c sand and gravel operation,
conducted by Eric Scott of DRMS. DRMS met Yuma County Road and Bridge representative Don Marr and
observed the site with him at approximately 12:00.
The permit area encompasses 67 acres and is located on the northeast corner of the intersection of Hwy 36 and
County Road K east ofloes CO. The site identification sign was observed at the existing site entrance location
(photo 1), and the extent of the site boundary was clearly defined by painted T -past markers.
The site is active although no mining was taking place during this inspection. Approximately 30 acres within
the permitted area have been disturbed at this time, and the topsoil and overburden have been stockpiled along
the east and west side of the excavated areas. Mr. Marr stated that the county intends to conduct concurrent
reclamation of the south end of the disturbed area this season if possible.
Mining appears to be in compliance with the approved plan at this time and no significant issues were noted
during this inspection. Representative photos of site conditions have been attached to this report.
Inspection Contact Address
Don Marr
Yuma County
1310 S.
