The mine is reclaimed, and no personnel <br />remain on the property. <br /> <br />The weather was cold and the area had received approximatley 2-3” of fresh snow the day prior to the inspection. <br />The gate was closed over Salt creek. Recent foot prints were present in the snow. The footprints were melted into <br />the snow, so appeared to be from the previous day , 2/20. <br />FISH and WILDLIFE – Rule 4.18: <br /> There were fresh footprints (not melted) of a sizable herd of elk that had moved down the canyon (east to <br />west). The elk were not observed at the time of the inspection. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 <br />Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> Salt Creek was dry at the bridge/entry gate. Munger creek was dry but the slopes on the road crossing the <br />creek were muddy and icy. Driving across was not attempted, Walking across was too slick and the inspector <br />gave up after slipping too much. The site was frozen with no apparent recent activity. <br /> <br />GENERAL MINE PLAN COMPLIANCE: <br /> No recent unauthorized access has been reported by the operator or operator’s representative. <br /> <br />ROADS – Rule 4.03 <br />Drainage 4.03.1(4)/4.03.2(4) <br />Surfacing and Maintenance4.03.1(5) and (6)/4.03.2(5) and (6) <br />Reclamation 4.03.1(7)/4.03.2(7): <br /> The access road to the reclaimed haul road was snow covered with approximately 3 inches of fresh snow. <br />There were fresh vehicle tire tracks from the gate to Munger Creek crossing. The tracks di d not proceed east of <br />Munger Creek. The road remains in good condition.
