This area was referred to as the Old Heap Leach in the
original Reclamation Plan under the 1988 Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety
(CDRMS) Permit M-88-112.
Documentation indicates that Battle Mountain Resources performed the reclamation work during
the summer of 1994. The reclamation included removal of all ore material from the plastic liner
for processing through the Mill. The black plastic liner was then removed in pieces and
appropriately disposed of offsite. Approximately 24" of topsoil was placed over the entire area
and the area was seeded. The area is now completely revegetated.
Should additional information be required or any clarifications necessary, please contact us at
(719) 379-0538.
Sincerely,
th
klu'l
3 Iso Madrid
Project Manager
Battle Mountain Resources
Cc: Larry Fiske, Newmont USA Limited
Tim Runnells, EA
BMRI File
David S.
