MANAGEMENT <br />Please accept this letter as the 2017 Annual Hydrologic Report for the Coal Ridge No. 1 <br />Mine. This report is for the 2017 calendar year. <br />The Coal Ridge No. 1 Mine was reclaimed in two phases, with the majority occurring during <br />1994, and the remainder in 2015. Until the mine was reclaimed, eight wells were <br />monitored (1-0-1, OW -31-, OW -7, OW -8, OW -12, OW -13, OW -14 & OW -15). The <br />groundwater monitoring wells were reclaimed late in 1994 and early in 1995. No <br />groundwater monitoring was performed or required during 2015 (reference table 4.6-1 <br />page 4-85). <br />The sediment pond was reclaimed during 2015. <br />A new discharge permit (C00048972), was issued in 2015 and is for the straw wattles <br />associated with the 2015 reclamation. Terms of the permit include; <br />.k Two comprehensive stormwater inspections per year (spring and fall) <br />,A� At least one of the two inspections must be during a runoff event or within 24 hours <br />of a measurable storm event or during snowmelt when a measurable discharge <br />occurs from the facility. <br />4. For the remaining two quarters (summer and winter) conduct corrective actions <br />across the facility for deficiencies represented by each DRMS inspection finding in <br />one of the monthly (or as appropriate, quarterly) SMCRA inspections. <br />
