PLS =purity X germination <br /> ** Seed and rate to be used on topsoil stockpiles. <br /> The proposed species are not difficult to establish and should therefore help ensure the <br /> Reclamation Plan goals of site stability, erosion control and the post mining land use <br /> (rangeland) are achieved. <br /> (iii) Soil amendments to include mulch if needed: <br /> No soil amendments are planned. However, as stated previously,the NRCS typically <br /> recommends 40 lbs. of nitrogen and phosphorous per acre. The need for soil <br /> amendments will be based on soil tests. If needed and available, well cured <br /> feedlot/barnyard manure could be applied at the rate of twenty tons per acre. <br /> (iv)Tree and shrubs planting: <br /> No trees or shrubs will be planted. None exist on the mine site and the post mining land <br /> use is rangeland. <br /> (v)Topsoil replacement depth: <br /> Topsoil will be replaced to an average depth of 6 to 8 inches, with some areas receiving <br /> more, some less. <br /> 38 <br />
