(10) All mined material to be disposed of within the affected area must be <br /> handled in such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized release of pollutants to <br /> the surface drainage system: <br /> All mined material will be handled in such a manner so as to prevent any unauthorized <br /> release of pollutants to the surface drainage system. All stockpiled material will be located <br /> and managed so as to avoid any uncontrolled runoff. All storm water runoff from the site <br /> will be managed in accordance with the Operation's Stormwater Management Plan. <br /> Therefore, no unauthorized release of pollutants should occur. <br /> (11) No unauthorized release of pollutants to ground water shall occur from any <br /> materials mined,handled or disposed of within the permit area: <br /> No ground water pollutants shall be released from the site. No fuel tanks are present on <br /> site. If fuel or oil spills occur on site in reportable quantities,they will be cleaned up. <br /> Based on EPA guidance document, an SPCC plan is not required for this operation. <br /> 3.1.6 Water-General Requirements: <br /> (1) Hydrology and Water Quality: <br /> Ground water is discussed in Exhibit"G". As proposed,the mining and reclamation plans <br /> will not adversely affect surface water hydrology or surface and ground water quality. In <br /> addition, a revised Stormwater Management Plan is being prepared and an existing <br /> Stormwater Discharge Permit is in place. If needed, a CPDES permit will be prepared and <br /> submitted to the Colorado Water Quality Control Division. <br /> (a) Compliance with applicable Colorado water laws and regulations governing <br /> injury to water rights: <br /> The Operator will comply with Colorado water laws and regulations governing injury to <br /> existing water rights. The Operator will comply all with applicable Federal and Colorado <br /> water quality laws and regulations, including all the standards adopted by the State Water <br /> Quality Control Commission. (Please see items 3.1.5 (10), and(11) above.) <br /> The operation is not expected to intercept the regional ground water table or impact <br /> ground water. <br /> (b) Compliance with applicable federal and Colorado water quality laws and <br /> regulations, including statewide water quality standards and site-specific <br /> classifications and standards adopted by the Water Quality Control Commission: <br /> The Operator will comply with all applicable Federal and Colorado water quality laws <br /> and regulations, including all the standards adopted by the State Water Quality Control <br /> Commission. <br /> 30 <br />
