rWeed Control
Scattered thistles, hounds tongue and white top were sprayed by Oxbow employees, using
Curtail herbicides in accordance with the label. Areas sprayed included general disturbance
areas such as road cuts, reclaimed areas, warehouse storage areas, pond out slopes, reclaimed
borehole roads and borehole pad sites, etc.
Rill and Gully Survey
The Lower Hubbard Creek site, the Bear Creek site, the reclaimed areas of the II West and West
Valley fill coal refuse disposal area and East Yard coal refuse disposal area and the reclaimed
degas wells sites, etc. were inspected for the formation of rills and gullies deeper than nine
inches.. A number of reclaimed GVB sites and roads were also inspected. No such gullies were
encountered requiring follow-up repair and seeding.
Reclamation Map
Due to the very small acreage of total reclamation, and the scattered nature of such reclamation
versus the much larger Permit area, an attempt to present the information on a map would be of
limited utility. The Division has, within the PAP, a number of maps showing the location of the
particular reclaimed areas. An updated map of General facilities has been submitted with Minor
Revision -108, which is presently under review by the CDRMS.
As in years past, included with this report is an updated: EXHIBIT I — SUMMARY OF
DISTURBANCE/ SEEDED AREAS summarizing the OMLLC disturbance and reclaimed areas.
It is implied that the areas noted as reclaimed include applicable backfilling, grading, topsoil
spreading, and seeding activities.
Light use drill roads requested to remain un -reclaimed, are marked on EXHIBIT 1 as HR ROAD
LEFT, with a yellow background. Drill pads and associated roads reclaimed in 2017 have a
green background. Acreages of locations marked as partially reclaimed are not included in
seeded areas amounts.
Please contact me at 970-929-6034 if you have questions or need additional information.
Sincerely,
Doug A. Smith
Chief Engineer
Attachments
Xc: Mike Ludlow (OMLLC)
files
0 Page 2
