The weather was clear and the ground was snow-covered at the time of the inspection. The inspection was <br />accompanied by Scott Wanstedt of BME. The longwall continues in panel LW-B14 and one coal train was <br />observed at the time of the inspection. Currently, no revisions are under review by the Division. <br />AVAILABILITY OF RECORDS – Rule 5.02.4(1): <br /> <br />All records were located in the Deserado Mine office of Scott Wanstedt. Scott Wanstedt provided the Division <br />with the required records in the form of a memory drive with associated hyperlinks to the documents. Please see <br />the Availability of Records accompanying this report. <br /> <br />EXPLOSIVES – Rule 4.08 Distance Prohibitions 4.08.4; Warnings 4.08.4; Control of Adverse Effects 4.08.4: <br /> <br />The explosives storage area was inspected and found to be snow-covered and stable with no issues noted. <br /> <br />HYDROLOGIC BALANCE - Rule 4.05 Drainage Control 4.05.1, 4.05.2, 4.05.3; Siltation Structures 4.05.5, <br />4.05.6; Discharge Structures 4.05.7, 4.05.10; Diversions 4.05.4; Effluent Limits 4.05.2; Ground Water <br />Monitoring 4.05.13; Surface Water Monitoring 4.05.13; Drainage – Acid and Toxic Materials 4.05.8; <br />Impoundments 4.05.6, 4.05.9; Stream Buffer Zones 4.05.18: <br /> <br />The DP-1 Pond was frozen with no discharge noted. The pond embankments were stable and snow covered. The <br />emergency and primary spillways were in compliance with no problems noted at the time of the inspection. <br />Pond PP-1 is a concrete pond that was holding water and stable at the time of the inspection. <br />Pond PP-2 was snow covered with no discharge noted. <br />The fresh water lagoon contained frozen water and was stable with no problems noted at the time of the <br />inspection. <br />Pond RP-1 was dry at the time of the inspection. Embankments were stable and snow covered at the time of the <br />inspection. The primary and emergency spillways were in compliance with no problems noted. <br />Pond RP-2/3 was snow covered in the upper cells and the lower cell at the time of the inspection. No recent <br />discharge was noted. The embankments were stable and snow covered at the time of the inspection.
