There were no indications of erosion or instability.
The water bars were intact an d capable of functioning as designed. The ditches that parallel the road were clear of
debris. The road had minor amounts of snow on it in the highest elevations of the site. Access roa ds around the
East and West Mines were in good condition. No erosional features were identified and there were no signs of
instability.

RECLAMATION SUCCESS - Rule 4.15, Rule 3:
The East Mine (Photo 4) with exception of the sediment ponds, was requested in SL-6 for Phase II bond
release. The Division is currently in the review process of the application. The areas requested for phase II
release were well vegetated and stable during this inspection. There were no erosional issues identified.

The West Mine (Photo 5) was well vegetated and stable. There were no erosional features identified. The
vegetation on the reclaimed area is establishing well and helping to reduce the amount of sediment transported by
runoff. The two sediment ponds had little sediment deposited in them.

The Timber Storage Area (Photo 6) had no indications of erosional features. The site was well vegetated and
stable. The vegetation on the Timber Storage Area was mature enough that a minimal amount of sediment runs
off from the site. In August of 2017 the Timber Storage Area Pond (ROM Pond) was backfilled and regraded to
the approved post mining topography. The site was then reseeded in October of 2017.
