russ@pioneersand.com
From: Sam Doughty <apexweedcontrol@mail.com>
Sent: Wednesday, December 20, 2017 5:16 PM
To: russ@pioneersand.com
Subject: Quotes for mowing, weed control. and seeding
Hi Russ
I am estimat.ng that there Is about 10 acres that surrounds the pit that will need mowing, spraying and seeding. The
figures: I am quoting you are based off of that estimate.
Mowing - After further thought I believe It would be a good idea to mow all the old growth to help break it down in
preparation for seeding and to help when weed spraying. We can do that at anytime from now till early spring. We
just want the weeds good and dry so they will chop up well.
The cost would be $525 for the 10 acres.
Weed spraying - Once the weeds reach 3-6 inches tall in the spring, I propose to spray with Roundup and Milestone.
This treatment will control every weed you have growing there. This treatment will cost $450 for the 10 acres
Most likely we will have to spray again mid to late summer_ This treatment will be Roundup, 2,4D and dicambia. This
will cost $430.
In the event that we get late moisture that sprouts weeds in early fall, we may have to spray once more with straight
Roundup. The cost would be $350 for the 10 acres.
Seeding - Because of the Milestone used In the first weed treatment, seeding can't be done till late fall at the earliest.
To give you an idea what the cost might be, to seed a dryland pasture mix @ 25lbs/acre the cost would be around
$1890 for the 10 acres. Because this part of the project is 9 months or more before being completed, seed cost could
change as well as If another seed blend Is required so the $1890 is just a ballpark figure.
Hope this Is all that you need. If not please call with any questions.
Thanks
Sam Doughty
Apex Weed Control
Serving Northern Colorado
