MANAGEMENT
On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, enclosed is an application for a technical revision to revise the
revegetation success standard that will be used for Phase III bond release at the West Mine, Run -of -Mine
area, and East Mine.
Attached is a discussion from Cedar Creek Associates (CCA) detailing the proposed changes to the
revegetation success standards. These proposed changes are based upon data collected during the 2013
and 2016 field surveys and document the pattern for revegetation based on the approved seed mixes.
CCA determined the initial success standards were not representative of actual revegetation
composition. CCA compares the species composition to the approved post -mining land use and
proposes a revised revegetation success criteria which lowers both the woody plant density standard
and revises the diversity standard.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions.
Sincerely,
C./ dg"QP4.
06 Tamme Bishop, P.E.
Project Engineer
Attachments: Volume I, pages 74a & 75
Volume 9A, Cedar Creek Associates "Phase III Bond Release Success Standards"
Volume 9A, Harner & Associates, July 1986, page 6
Cc: Basil Bear
