To: Jared Ebert
Date: December 29. 2017
Page 26
Response to Comments 46 g
See Attachment 6. Note there was a conversion error in the original calculation of the
pumping costs provided in Appendix L.
Response to Comments 46 h
Overburden averages approximately 4.1 feet over the entire site. We have assumed three
feet of the overburden would be used as cover material, with the top six inches being
topsoil. Three feet results in an estimated 456,335 cy(loose) of material. The additional
1.1 feet is assumed to be used in compacted liner and general backfill. These quantities
can be found by summing column L in Attachment 6.
Response to Comments 46 i
Vegetation costs are lumped into a per-acre revegetation cost as shown in Attachment 5,
page 10. Seed costs were quoted at roughly $175/acre. Total plantings of shrubs and
trees for the landscaping plan required by the county is approximately $5,000. All of
these plantings will be in place prior to mining, so these costs have not been included in
the reclaimed vegetation costs.
Response to DBMS comments T E L E S T
